Format: Classroom or online instruction, followed by EASA PPL(H) theoretical exams.

Total Minimum Hours: 45 hours Dual Instruction: Minimum 25 hours Solo Flight: Minimum 10 hours (including 5 hours cross-country)
Phase 1: Basic Handling
- Helicopter familiarization & checks
- Effects of controls
- Straight & level flight
- Climbing & descending
- Turning
- Hovering
- Take-off & landing
- Transitions (hover to forward flight and vice versa)
Phase 2: Advanced Maneuvers
- Autorotations (basic & advanced)
- Quick stops
- Steep turns
- Spot turns
- Sideways & backward flight
- Sloping ground operations
- Limited power operations
- Confined area operations
- Vortex ring state recognition & recovery
- Engine-off landings
Phase 3: Navigation & Emergencies
- Basic instrument flying
- Cross-country navigation
- Practice forced landings
- Emergency procedures
- R44-specific inflight checks & limitations
Phase 4: Solo Flying
- First solo flight
- Solo circuit practice
- Solo cross-country flight (min. 100 NM with two full-stop landings at different aerodromes)
Skill Test
Conducted by an EASA-approved examiner after completion of training. Includes:
- Pre-flight planning
- General handling
- Navigation
- Emergency procedures
- Oral questioning
Robinson R44 Raven II Specifics
Training incorporates:
- Glass cockpit familiarization (Garmin G500H TXi & GTN750Xi)
- ADS-B procedures
- Power checks, overspeed limits
- Water operations (if applicable)
