Non-commercial passenger flights

Air Alpina conducts scenic and experience flights in accordance with the regulatory framework of the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA). All flights are performed strictly as non‑commercial operations under Part‑NCO rules, meaning they are private flights without any commercial air transport purpose. Air Alpina does not hold an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and therefore does not offer commercial passenger transport or commercial sightseeing flights. Instead, Air Alpina provides guests with the opportunity to enjoy Switzerland from the air within the scope of private cost‑sharing and non‑commercial aerial activities, as permitted by FOCA regulations. These flights are carried out exclusively for recreational and educational purposes, without profit, and in full compliance with the applicable requirements for private operators of HB‑registered aircraft.
The company operates a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter based at Grenchen Airport. All flights are conducted by qualified pilots in accordance with EASA Part‑NCO, ensuring adherence to safety, airworthiness, and operational standards required for non‑commercial operations. Air Alpina’s mission is to share the joy of helicopter flying and the beauty of the Swiss landscape – always within the legal boundaries defined for private, non‑commercial aviation in Switzerland.
