The new Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter, operated by Air Alpina, has been stationed at the Grenchen airport base since May 2025. This modern aircraft is equipped with a Garmin glass cockpit, along with an ADS-B in/out transponder and a FLARM collision warning system, ensuring high efficiency and safety during flight. The helicopter with the swiss registration HB-ZDK (Zulu Delta Kilo) also features a Stabilization & Autopilot System and air conditioning, significantly increasing passenger comfort. With an impressive service ceiling of 14,000 ft (4267 m) and a range of 348 NM (644 km), long flights without stopovers are possible – ideal for fast and efficient travel within Europe, without long waits at airports. Even crossing the Swiss Alps is possible in just under one hour.

Air Alpina GmbH, founded in 2025 by Dani Kappler, is a company dedicated to aviation excellence. Dani Kappler, a 450-hours pilot with over 30 years of experience flying fixed-wing aircraft like the Cessna 210 Centurion or the twin-engine Beechcraft Baron G58, has been training since 2025 to become a PPL(H) helicopter pilot. Air Alpina operates a new, fully equipped Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter for non-commercial flights. In the future, Air Alpina plans to offer commercial flights and pilot training under the conditions of a DTO. Currently, Air Alpina does not lease aircraft or offer commercial passenger flights, focusing instead on expanding the business owner’s flying skills.
